In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Uncovered

According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Changes

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Material

Players who finish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Unique weapons
• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's third free story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
